برنامج سمارت كابتشر يتيح لك تصوير شاشة الكمبيوتر و عمل شروحات على الصور، يمكنك تصوير كامل شاشة سطح المكتب عن طريق تشغيل البرنامج و الضغط على مفتاح طباعة الشاشة Print Screen من لوحة المفاتيح، ليتم بشكل فوري تصوير كامل الشاشة، ايضا البرنامج يسمح لك بتصور النوافذ المفتوحة على سطح المكتب و ايضا تصوير منطقة محددة على الشاشة، برنامج سمارت كابتشر يملك واجهة رسومية منظمة و سهلة في الاستخدام و خفيفة على النظام، توفر لك عدة ادوات تساعدك على تصوير الشاشة و عمل شروحات بسيطة على الصور، بحيث يمكنك كتابة النصوص على الصور و اضافة الاسهم و المربعات و ايضا إستخدام قلم للكتابة و الرسم، بالإضافة الى لوحة تشمل جميع الالوان لتغيير لون الخطوط
