What is psychology?
– The word psychology comes from two Greek roots - 'psyche' means 'mind' and 'logos' meaning 'study of'.
– Many definitions - "The scientific study of behavior and mental processes" (Atkinson 1971).
– The ultimate goals of research in psychology are to understand, predict and change human behaviour: to explain why people do what they do.
Is psychology potentially dangerous or controversial?? I will be waiting for your views
